The Armed Services YMCA stands ready to meet the needs of and provide support and comfort for Fort Sill military members and their families. A few of those programs and services are full-time, part-time and emergency childcare, free transportation, food, clothing, household items, direct finance aid, a school age support and tutoring program and a weekly Bible study. Our primary focus is on junior enlisted families E5 and below. 14,125 military and family members were served in 2010.

Catholic Charities' Lawton Regional Office serves people of all faiths, races and socio-economic backgrounds in Lawton and the surrounding communities. The Lawton office offfers the Family H.O.P.E. case management program, emergency assistance as well as adoption services. The agency also provides case coordination at Villanova Apartments. Family H.O.P.E. (Help, Organize, Prioritize, Empower) assists families with children and builds partnerships with families in need so that they may achieve self-sufficiency. The goal is to promote independence and empower families to overcome the obstacles of poverty. Based on a family's needs, services may include emergency financial assistance, budget counseling, life skills counseling, job placement, and devlopment of an individualized plan for gaining independence. No fees or charges for Family H.O.P.E. Services.

The Center for Creative Living meets social, recreational, physical and intellectual needs of the senior citizens who are 55 years old or older. The center provides a warm and friendly atomosphere in which seniors can join with others to exercise at various levels, join a bridge group, play dominoes or pool, learn to square dance, take an art class, learn to quilt or participate in scrap craft class, learn to use the computer, go on tours, take in theatre and learn about key senior issues of health and wellness concerns.

Since 1985 the Christian Family Counseling Center has helped over 39,000 people with many mental health issues. The staff of 8 professional counselors and 1 physician has combined 159 years of exeperience helping hurtin people. All of the counselors have Masters Degrees in counseling. The Center's success in helping people is substantiated by the result of outcome based testing that shows that people who come experience a very high degree of improvement. Christian Family Counseling Center offers Reduced Fee and No Fee counseling based on family income and space available.

Family Promise of Lawton, Inc. is a program that offers an alternative to the traditional shelter. At many shelters men and women are separated into different sleeping areas. Family Promise is unique in that keeping families together as they face the devastation of homelessness is a priority. Family Promise will provide families with housing, hygiene items, food, transportation, job assistance, clothing, case management, and financial training.

Hearts That Care Health Clinis is open the first and third Thursday of each month. The clinic provides medical care to people without health insurance. Patients are seen on a first-com and first served basis. You must be present, in person, to secure an appointment. Appointment slots are limited to 30 patients and check-in begins at 9 am. The health care providers from the Lawton area see patients from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Prescriptions are filled at the clinic pharmacy which is run by registered Pharmacists. Clients are asked to bring phot identification and financial information (this should include previous tax year form or two recent pay stubs) and any medications. A $5.00 donation is appreciated but not required.

J. Roy Dunning Children's Shelter implemented the Emergency Foster Care (EFC) program in 1998. This program was developed to assist in fostering healthy attachment and personality development for children ages newborn to five years who have been abused, neglected, and/or abandoned. J. Roy Dunning Children's Shelter recruits, selects and carefully monitors potential Emergency Foster Care homes. The shleter currently has three active emrgency foster homes in its employ, with a total of 11 beds. Each certified EFC home provides a safe, nuturing environment for the children it houses.

The Lawton Food Bank is a non-profit organization that feeds low income people of Southwest Oklahoma. We also pay for identification cards or birth certificates for our clientele as it is virtually impossible to conduct any sort of business without proper identification. If one's sole source of income is social security, he/she may come every 60 days for food. We also feed families that are victims of a disaster. Those families may come twice, at their discretion, in a 60 day period. For those families we will waive the usual identifying documents.

We specialize in the areas of substance abuse counseling, delinquency prevention services, child abuse prevention, services to battered women, runaway and homeless youth, and residential care for abused and neglected females. Our targeted population for most of our contacts is youth and families; however, we do provide many adult care services as well.

For more than 105 years, The Salvation ARmy served the Lawton community with the love of God without discrimination. For those who are in crisis, transition, and facing hardships, the Salvation ARmy is often the place they look to for help. Whether it is a box of groceries, a night's shelter, or a meal in our soup kitchen, The Salvation Army is there to help.
They also proved activiteis for youth through its Boys and Girls Club. Here, children and youth are provided a safe environment in which to learn valuable life lesson, have fun and be mentored by trained caring adults.

The Wichita Mountains Prevention Network services 15 counties in Southern Oklahoma. Established in 1989 , WMPN offers programs to prevent high risk behaviors including alcohol and other drug abuse and other community issues.
